85 Stalls Along Jalan Mawar Demolished

As many as 85 street vendors' stall standing on water channel along Jalan Mawar, Tugu Utara Urban Village, Koja Sub-District, North Jakarta, demolished by officers, Monday (10/5).

The buildings make the road looks slum, narrowing, and prone to congestion

"The buildings make the road looks slum, narrowing, and prone to traffic congestion," said Head of Tugu Utara Urban Village, Nandang Hidayat, Monday (10/5).

The channel which is covered by those stalls becomes clogged thus the water overflows the road during rainy season.

"Besides monitoring, we have also coordinated with the Water Management Sub-Department to dredge the channel as flood anticipation," he disclosed.
